Abstract:Minimizing boarding time, airlines can increase their aircraft/crew utilization and thereby increase profitability. Herein, the paper using AOM (Aspect-Orientation Modeling) to divide boarding into four aspects: Passenger entry speed, Baggage stowage time, Extra time caused by special passengers and interfering time. Then, local stochastic strategy modeled to calculate interfering time. In addition,let queue to compute times of interference and average interfering time. Local stochastic strategy also organizes the aircraft into discrete units called ‘teams’. Finely, global model created to compute total boarding time. Through simulations and analysis obtain: No assigned local stochastic boarding is best; the distribution of passenger enter the gate of plane is relative to the total boarding time.
