International trade theory reveals the causes of international trade, structure as well as the distribution of trade interests. In the different stages of economic development, the international trade theory has been developed. After World War II, the international trade represents new characteristics and pattern, while the traditional international trade theory can not or can not explain these phenomena completely so the new trade theory can develop. In this paper, we make a brief introduction to the emergence of the international trade theory ,the main contents and characteristics.
