The modernity primary education of southeast Guangxi in period of New Guangxi Clique
Abstract
The Qing government promulgated “New deal” and imperial edict every provinces instead academies with new type of schools in 1901.New modern education system was began after promulgated Authorized school Regulation promulgated by China Qing government in1902.Because the ethos had not opened at this time, new type of education developed very hard in southeast Guangxi .Some lows and decrees which developed new school and discarded old school were promulgated after The republic of china was established. But there were many old fogies of Qing dynasty who wanted restore imperial examination system often established some old schools against new schools. The Old Guangxi Faction who governed Guangxi at this time didn’t pay attention to education. And constant fighting among warlords this period. So ,new system education developed very hard in southeast Guangxi .Guangxi was unified by New-Guangxi regime in 1925.In order to consolidated his governorship and promoted social progress, the New-Guangxi regime began his handle without mittens reform, then promulgated a series of measures and laws and decrees to develop education .The primary education developed very fast in this period, and gained some achievements in southeast Guangxi But there were still some defects, the people who had received primary education still in low knowledge level ,many people were illiteracy or semiliterate .
