Abstract:Zhang xianzhong is a most significant leader in the course of peasant uprisings in Ming Dynasty.He played a vital important role in the whole peasant uprisings process.He brought out a great immortal contribution to uprisings at the late-Ming Dynasty.
At the beginning of joining in the army ,he gained outstanding position,and then built a well-equiped army which could give the Ming’s government army a scare.It also became the predominant power to overthrow Ming Danasty.His cteative action exerting many tactics is of help to preserve the main power,especially the famous one wage guerrilla warefare.In addition ,he attached emphasis to international relationship.Hence,he made a sery of so excellent policies that naturelly gained support from them.In fact,Zhang xianzhong has a strong national consciousness.At the eary of Qing’s intrusion ,even if Qing government offerd bribes and force to him,he was insusceptible to them and resisted on fighting against them.After his death ,his step-sons complied with his testament in which required the co-operation with south Ming Dynasty,and fought against Qing for seventeen years.
