Synthesis of a four-functional epoxy resin
Abstract
This article describes the basic development and the latest research trends of epoxy resin. By using 4,4 '- diamino diphenyl methane (MDA) and epichlorohydrin (ECH) as raw materials, a four-functional epoxy resin was synthesized. In this article, some research works were carried out as the following aspects.
1. The relationship between epoxy value and experimental conditions was studied using orthogonal test. The results showed that the mole ratio (MDA: ECH) was the most profound effect, followed by reaction temperature, reaction time, and NaOH concentration.
2. The optimum procedure is as follows: the ratio (MDA: ECH) is 1:6, reaction temperature is 80 °C, reaction time is 7h, NaOH concentration is 30 wt%.
3.the epoxy value of environmentally friendly resin without adding acetone in closed-loop process is low,however, by increasing the closed-loop time (about 4 hours), we can obtain equivalent epoxy value compared with the product of adding acetone
4、The raw materials cost of producing a ton of AG-80 epoxy resin is ahout 39,510 yuan,but the cost of synthesising epoxy resin without acetone is 33,600 yuan,then it can save 5,910 yuan.
