Abstract: This paper began with the preparation of a catalyst which is not sensitive to TPA, and design to synthesis the new type poly(phenylacetylene) monomer, used the new compound catalyst for the polymerization, the infrared spectrum, 1HNMR of the product prove that monomer has been successfully transformed into poly(phenylacetylene) which has TPA functional group. And by UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy and other means, polymer were characterized.With solubility experiment, we obtained the following significant results: The functional poly(phenylacetylene) (that is, contains TPA) emit blue and green light under UV radiation , Its monomers and polymers have a clear distinction in the infrared bands 3200 nm. In 1 H NMR spectrum of the nuclear , double bonds and Three bonds have great different peak.
