Study on the Curing System of RTV Silicone Gel Electronic Encapsulation Materials

A sort of two components RTV silicone gel was manufactured which vulcanized with
alcohol evaporation. Catalyst 70, catalyst 80, stannous caprylate were compared based on the impact of different catalyst on surface drying time of gel system. A,B,C,D and their mixtures were chosen as crossing agent, to develop a silicone gel with better curing time and righter hardness. The results showed that the best catalyst is catalyst A, whose dosage ought to be 0.2% ~0.6%.Two curing agent mixture was better than the unitary one or three curing mixture. Generally speaking, the synthetically function of silicone gel made by the mixed curing (C mixed D) is fairly good. The proportion of the two component of C to D ought to be around 2.5, which sample can discharge air bubble completely. The sample have low viscosity and high transparency, with 42min surface drying time , shore hardness 34, which is suitable for electronic pouring.
