Abstract
Forklift is the main equipment of mechanization of container and bulk materials loading and unloading. It has the virtue of flexibility, high efficiency, low operational cost, full improvement of utilization of the storage capacity and so on. However, the forklift of our country is still far behind compared with the developed countries. So in order to change the present backward situation fundamentally, the only way for us is to adopt advanced modern design theory and methods to replace the traditional ones. That is, through the application of finite element method, optimal design, reliability analysis, computer simulation, CAD and other means, we can predict the characteristics and reliability of the products and shorten the research cycle.
This paper displays the finite element analysis and optimal design of the forklift inner frame. It shows a scientific and rational design method, but also shortens the development cycle and improves the work efficiency.
