Abstract
This paper is on Designing an Injection mould on the base of an Automobile lamp model. It covers the model’s structure and function analysis,the chosen of the molding material,the determination of the cavity number and its orientation ,the chosen of the injection molding machine,the design of the parting surface,the design of the die cavity and die core,the chosen of the die carrier,the design and fill/flow analysis of the runner system,the design of the ejection system,the design and analysis of the cooling system,the design of the die locker,the check of the critical parameters of the Injection molding machine and fulfill the drawing of the assembly and the main parts through the entire design of the Injection mould. Detailed Description on the design and analysis of runner system, the design of the ejection system,the design and analysis of the cooling system,the design of the die locker and check of the critical parameters of the Injection molding machine. The MoldWizard module in NX7.0 software offers the automation selection of the parting line,standard die carrier library,runner system and standard gate library,the enjection system and the layout of the cooling pipe and the automatic generation of the initially 2D drawing by the 3D model has a great help to improve the efficiency of the design,meanwhile,The usage of the MoldFlow Plastic Insight6.1 software in both the fill analysis of the runner system and cool analysis of the cooling system proves its fill and cool action plays well ,which improves the percentage of the one time design success.In the end it refers to AutoCAD software to fulfill the terminal drawing.
