Abstract
Suspension is an important assembly of modern car, one of which the chassis (or body) and the axle (or tires) the flexibility to connect. Its main role is to transfer the role of the body in between the wheels and all the force and moment, such as supporting force, braking force and the driving forces, and the uneven road passed by the body to ease the impact load, attenuation resulting vibration, occupant comfort, reduce the goods and the vehicle itself dynamic load.
This article is about the design of a front suspension of a minibus, the key is from the comparison of selection of this minibus’s front suspension, calculation and selection of shock absorber, the choice of the form of elastic element calculation and the selection and design of horizontal and lateral stabilizer bar angle stiffness calculation. First, I put a different form of suspension of the advantages and disadvantages are compared, and then set the vehicle in the form of front suspension—McPherson suspension. And then design the main components of McPherson suspension . First I design and check the spring, then the calculation is the selection of shock absorbers, stabilizer bar is the calculation of the final check.
