Abstract
Electric bike is a green personal traffic transportation. There are many advantages for electric bike, such as: non-pollution, saving labor, safety, convenience. So the electric bike market in mainland of China is very large. The storage battery is the heart of electronic bicycle, which is one of the key parts of the electronic bicycle. The storage battery's performance affects the life of electronic bicycle. However, the same battery under different charge condition will present different performance. The survey has shown 90% E-bike battery isn't work because of not suitable charging method.
This paper investigates the charging characteristic of lead-acid battery firstly,and gives an overview of domestic and international E-bike battery charger situation and tendency .Then, according to analysis of non-linearity of charging current-charging time on rechargeable battery, we can get an conclusion that traditional control algorithms are not suit to control the charging process. This paper presented the realization of E-bike lead-acid battery Charger based on a fuzzy control technology.
The core of smart lead-acid battery Charger is single-chip PIC16C712.The charger can monitor and detect the state of battery in right way. It can control the charging process optimally, reduce charging time , increase the efficiency and life of battery .
