The planting and commercialization process of Yulin garlic since 1949
Abstract
As the local famous characteristic agricultural products in Guang Xi, the planting history of Yulin garlic has been more than 1000 years. The Yulin garlic has plump form, strong spicy taste, sweet fragrant and excellent quality, which are the garlic’s distinctive features that make it so different. Garlic，as the distinctive export agricultural products in Yulin, plays a decisive role on the development of Yulin economy. This text analyses its planting background, commercialization process and influence. This text also explores its commercialization process in the view of the total planning quantity and export quantity of garlic over the years. We should strain every nerve to explore and bring into play of the advantage of the local, to bring the garlic industry up to the way of technology-oriented as well as branding-oriented, to promote the development of Yulin economy and the construction of the Socialism new countryside.
