On the Exchanges Between Yuan Mei and Jin Hong
Abstract
In Yuan Mei’s life, visiting to Guangxi in the first year of the Qianlong（1736） reign is an important turning point for him. Jin Hong’s appreciation and recommendation gains him fame and fortune. At the same time, interaction with Jin Hong deserves an important place in Yuan Mei’s life. It not only profoundly influences Yuan Mei’s poetical works, but also influences his paths of life. Moreover, their contacting also affects Jin Hong.
