This paper analyses some technical problems on dry - type transformer and the correlative problems on developing dry - type transformer , such as the relation between current dencity selection and insulation endurance class , the relation between average temperature rise and heat - spot temperature rise of winding , the
relation of self - cooling capacity and forced - air cooling capacity , selection of HV winding connection and the problem of resistance to lower temperature. A new temperature rise test method which will adopted is introduced.
