Since entering the 21st century, with an increasingly competitive global market, the new product life cycle is shorter and shorter, continuously improve customer expectations, these concerns have forced companies and start investing in their own supply chain. Meanwhile, with the information technology advances and transport, supply chain management and technology is developing rapidly, more and more enterprises will be supply chain management thinking in the business. With supply chain management thinking of the traditional inventory control theory is facing challenges. Under the supply chain inventory problems and the traditional inventory problems have many differences; these differences are reflected supply chain management and inventory management of the impact.
In this paper, company TongDa is the sample to studied, comprehensive application of supply chain and inventory management theory, the supply chain inventory management environment issues were analyzed. On the basis of that analyzed the suppliers existing state, the buyers exiting state, the products manufacturing process, mode of operation and procurement, inventory problems.
On this basis, the paper focused on the analysis of the ABC classification, the classical EOQ model, MRP, supply chain management inventory control in the access to the company TongDa. Through the ABC classification to identify the company’s A-type products, and then through the EOQ model, to calculate the economic order quantity, safety stock and reorder point of the key products. Then by the MRP analysis of the key product gilding press, hoping to increase the production efficiency and reduce the production costs. Finally, by the analysis of supply chain management, to table the strategies of the development of supplier management, establish the cooperation and alliance and developing the information systems. Hoping improving the TongDa company’s supply chain environment.
