Abstract: The EU REACH regulation is the EU's access to their markets for all chemicals of a preventive management regulation. "Substances of Very High Concern" referred to SVHC, is one of specific term to the the regulations, which frequently appears in the detection, authorization, and restrictions. Phthalic acid esters (PAEs) as a kind of plasticizer are widely used in the chemical industry, and have a deep relation with human's life. At the same time, the PAEs are also considerated as a common pollutant to the environment. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that it was necessary to control the use of this kind of endocrine disrupting chemicals in 1995. As the time passby, it can release from the matrix, migration out, last stability in the environment, causing bio-accumulation and amplification. Ultimately, endanger human health through the food chain. In this paper, the technology used in detection of benzyl butyl phthalate (DBP), bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate(DEHP), dibutyl phthalate(BBP)) in the list of SVHC is the gas chromatography - mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
