SystemView 6.0 is the ELANIX company development for system design and simulation tools. By means of SystemView, the simulation system is set up, which shows the DFT method of detecting a sinusoidal signal with a known frequency in the additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN). And the simulation results are compared with the theoretical miss rate or false-alarm rate of the best coherent detection.
The first chapter of this paper basically described the communication system, signal detection system and importance of simulation analysis. The second chapter, Taking a 2ASK system as an example for sinusoidal signal detection in AWGN, analyzed the theoretical error probability of the best coherent receiver, and discussed the optimal threshold how to set. The third chapter proposed the DFT method of detecting sinusoidal signal with a known frequency in AWGN. The fourth chapter showed the simulation results of two detecting methods. The simulation results indicate that the DFT method of detecting of a sinusoidal signal with a known frequency in AWGN has implications.
