The development of information technology brings a huge transformation for the production and daily life. The popularity and widespread application of the contactless radio frequency IC card is also one expression of the information technologies. The contactless IC card owns favorable comment and welcome from users and has broad market prospects, for having no mechanical electronic contact, carrying on the communication with the read-write equipment through the wireless way. Compared with the contact IC card, it has many characteristics, such as fast operation, anti-jamming, high reliability, fine security, easy to a card with multipurpose， handling with work distance and so on. Basing on the actual need of the project, this subject has developed one kind of read-write distance which is smaller than 10mm contactless IC card RWD. From the angle of the application of developing contactless radio frequency RWD system, this paper will elaborate the IC card composition and the principle of work, the radio frequency RWD principle of work, antenna's design, the programmed control, the RWD system and the PC correspondence.
