With the continuous development of economical commodity and society, the demand of social workers and technical staff on the knowledge and ability are increasing higher and higher. Examination, a way to measuring ability, is taking more important role in modern life. How to use high-tech, objective and accurate assessments to evaluate knowledge and ability level has become a hot research.
This paper uses the adaptive test theory in educational information processing, selects English courses as the object of system design, designs the corresponding question banks and achieve proficiency test or a course summary evaluation of the test through the web to grasp the learning ability or learning effects of learners in a more reasonable way.
The method of item’s parameter estimation and the strategy to show the next item are rather difficult. So this paper selects the dichotomy strategy to achieve coefficient estimation on difficulty. And how to use the parameters estimation strategy to extract items is the direction of next generation.
