Abstract：Redesign for the materials can be described as a creating application in the clothing fabrics, from the views of designing and processing technology, redesign for the materials create an unprecedented visual effect and a unique artistic charm. On the basis of the theory of redesign for the materials, and get the achievement in the practice which links with the theory then analyze the correspondence of redesign for the materials and the design of evening dress. This text expatiates the flexible application of redesign for the materials in the designing. I hope that I can enrich the two contents of the redesign for the materials and the application in design of evening dress.
In order to demonstrate this point of view，the author first expounds the prospect and the limitation in the development of fabric in China ，and summarizes some effective methods based on the practice, exploring the possibility of redesign for the materials, giving practical option guided by practical experience. Then claries the basic definition of evening dress designing and analyzes the designing way of it, to draw out : redesign for the materials. Thirdly analyzes the smart use of it in the designing , conducting update design idea , opening up the design thought ,forming distinct individuality and variety styles , generating abundant aesthetic art effect At the end I will come to the conclusion that redesign for the materials will be the necessary form in the future design of evening dress.
