The Investigation of characteristics and factors about the subjective well-being of pre-school teachers
Abstract Subjective well-being may be defined as people’s global evaluation of their lives by their own criteria.It is an important psychological index of life quality.Then the subjective well-being of pre-school teachers is an important index of their life quality.Paying attention to this theme,it is not only helpful to upgrade their subjective well-being,but also improve the quality of preschool education.This research used synthetically questionnaire,interview,philology and so on, by measuring 120 preschool teachers in Shanghai,interviewing six preschool teachers and looking for some information,to learn preschool teachers’SWB, characteristics and factors about their subjective well-being and so on.The aim is to improve the life quality of preschool teachers,their’s SWB and the educational management of preschool.The main resault as follows:(1) The SWB of pre-school teachers is at a relatively middle level in whole,the status of it is not good.The teachers feel more active emotions than negative ones,but there is not a very large gap between them.(2)There is no great differences between preschool teachers who work at different kindergartens or who have different working time. But the SWB of preschool teachers who are in different classes or have different degrees is very different.(3)The scores of married and unmarried teachers on SWB is not significant.But the quality of marriage is an important factor to their SWB,and the economical income as well.One’s realization to health is also an important index of SWB,and there is difference among preschool teachers.(4)The main influential factors about the subjective well-being of pre-school teachers:social factors,working factors.family factors and personal factors.The working factors influence the teachers’ SWB derectly,and they complain about the large writing work. The last one is the main reason that influences one’s view to one thing,so it influences one’s SWB to a great level.
