ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the effect of short-term and repeated blu-ray on the premature infant’s pathogenic jaundice.
Methods All the premature infants with pathogenic jaundice who were born in our hospital were monitored by JD-2 pass-skin jaundice tester,79 mild and moderate cases whose iaundice index were 12-18mg/dl were chosen as objeets, and treated by blu-ray short-termly and repeatedly every 6-8 hours．At the corresponding time period，we chose 83 cases with the same iaundice index average value and same cause of disease as tlle control group，and they were traditionally treated with blu-ray for 12 hours or more．
Results There is no obvious difference of the rates of jaundice extinction and effective between observation group and control group，but the rate of the side-effect，such as rash、diarrhea、reducing of milk，obviously decreases，and has a significant difference in statistics．
Conclusions Treatment of the premature infants with pathogenic jaundice with blu-ray short-termly and repeatedly is effective and can reduce the side-effects．
