Title: Different ways of feeding effects on infant growth
ABSTRACT
Objective
To improve the rate of breastfeeding, understanding of feeding way and ethnic, gender differences, of different feeding styles on infant physical growth effect.
Methods
In 2009 October - 2010 October selected in our hospital was born full-term 0-4 months infants 544 cases out of 0 ~ 4 months feeding patterns and growth monitoring, investigation, by professionals on body weight, body length, head circumference measurement, application software for analysis, evaluation of the growth and development of. Using SPSS11.0 software for statistical analysis, the data were analyzed by t test, analysis of variance.
Results
Two different feeding methods in pediatric national sex, weight, height has no significant difference ( P > 005 ). In 0 ~ 4 months infant breast feeding rate of 6930%; wherein, the Korean breast feeding rate was 6696%, 6993% in han. In 0 ~ 4 months breast-feeding infant weight than mixed feeding and artificial feeding, there was a significant difference ( P < 005 ); February age of breast feeding and artificial feeding group of pediatric height difference ( P < 005 ).
Conclusion
Infant growth rapidly, is a human life, physical and mental health development important period, reasonable nutrition for lifetime physical development and lay a good foundation. Feeding and infant nutrition and growth are closely related, that breast feeding on infant growth and development than mixed feeding and artificial feeding.
