Topic: The Factors and Strategy of Premenstrual Syndrome aomong Female College Students in a College
Abstract
Objective: Premenstrual Syndrome is physical, emotional and behavioral changes within 7-14 days before menstruation periodicity, which will influence Female Students¡¯ working and learning. Due to the environment, learning, employment and other aspects of pressures, Premenstrual Syndrome have a higher incidence among female students in colleges. Through the investigation of Premenstrual Syndrome on TianJin Medical University¡¯s female students, compared with the general case and analyze factors. Coming to understand the pathogenesis of Premenstrual Syndrome and establishing the focus of health education, finally.
Methods: A self-administered questionnaire survey on physically and mentally healthy status of Premenstrual Syndrome was conducted among 186 female students who were selected by cluster random sampling and the data were analyzed by SPSS software.
Results: 189 questionnaires were provided, 186 were recovered, 186 were valid, and the effective rate was 98%. The results showed that 68.82 percent of female college students have different degrees of premenstrual symptoms. The main influencing factors were related with emotional fluctuation£¬learning stress£¬the changes of environment and life.
Conclusions: Incidence of Premenstrual Syndrome is prevalent in female college students£®It is necessary to enhance the health education of physiological health care in menstrual periods in college so as to improve the physicopsy health level of female college students£®
