Title: The Orem nursing pattern intervene diabetic and its complications
ABSTRACT
Objectives:We carry out this study to improve the supervision of people with diabetes and their ability to protect and improve their blood fat and blood sugar for disease control. This study also intends to provide a new pattern for diabetics’ prevention and control.
Methods: Choosing 90 diabetes II patients to study the Orem caring pattern who reach the required standard, and divide them into group observation and group comparison randomly.45of the patients are given Orem nursing pattern, others regular nursing pattern. Then the researchers compare the compliances with doctors, the level of diabetes, the satisfaction of nursing pattern and flood fat in the two groups before and after the intervention.
Results:
1. After the intervention of the Orem caring pattern, the patient can take part in the nursing from actively to passively. Patients’ medical care and the ability increase significantly .
2. Patients’ blood sugar, HbA1c and flood fat are all higher than standard before intervening. The patients are hyperglycemia and disorder of lipid metabolism. Blood sugar decreases sharply in group observation after two months, having many discrepancies with group comparison (t=5.278, p<0.01). There are many discrepancies in the two group after six months (t=57.267, p<0.001) .Many discrepancies appear in HbA1c in the two group after six months (t= 9.215, p<0.01). Flood fat also declines sharply in group observation after four months, and there are many discrepancies in the two group (t=6.210, p<0.05). Flood fat changes obviously after intervening for six months (t=6.342, p<0.01).
3. Patients are satisfied with the intervention of the Orem nursing pattern. Only one person regards the nursing pattern as a mediocre one when carrying out it for six months. The satisfaction reached 100℅ when the study was completed.
Conclusion:
1.The Orem nursing pattern is worth being widely practiced in clinical otolaryngology. It also can satisfy the demand of patient's needs.
2. The Orem nursing pattern increase patients’ self-care abilities.
3. Increasing the relationship between the patients and the nurses, the Orem nursing pattern improve the control of the diabetics.
