ABSTRACT
Open architecture control has been becoming the essential requirement for modern CNC system. The development of CNC technique has being influenced vitally by the technological system revolution,i.e. from the closure technological system to the open architecture CNC system differs greatly from traditional CNC system on both the integrated system structure and concrete algorithms. This dissertation presents a systematic theoretical frame of the open architecture CNC system,and illustrates the implementation of an open CNC system based on the operating system PMAC. So this paper targets on establishing open- architecture CNC Platform.
Through the research of open architecture NC systems at home and abroad,the thesis analyzes and contrasts several open modes and system platform a modular NC system has been constructed which consists of PMAC motion controller embedded in the standard socket of industrial process computer (IPC),AC servo motors,servo drivers and encoders,etc. The research includes the part of hardware and software. In the process of designing the platform,first electrical components,such as servo motors and the matched servo drivers,etc. have been selected by calculating. Second,the motion program of the Platform,applied to carry out the linear and circular movement of the NC platform,has been developed by G code,T code and M code of PMAC.
