With the rapid progress and continuous development of the whole society, social division of labor has been constantly refined, and accordingly, news reflecting and reporting social life has become more and more diversified. Among them, "prose journalism" is a hot topic. From its proposal to its final name, "prose journalism" is an important node in the history of contemporary Chinese journalism. Both the first practice in the 1960s and the large-scale stylistic practice of the press after the 1980s, as well as the contention on "news prose culture", have great significance to the development of the journalistic style.
Based on this topic, the author tries to explore the connection and difference between prose creation and news report, and analyzes the reality and possibility of the prose culture of news report, which is based on the inseparability between news report and literary creation. Firstly, this paper expounds the research background and significance of the prose culture of news report. Secondly, the author makes a theoretical and conceptual distinction between news report and prose creation. Thirdly, the author discusses the difference and connection between news report and prose creation from different aspects. Finally, the author expounds the practical significance and value of the prose culture of news report, and provides academic thinking for the news report writing of media reporters.
