Abstract
Bumper is one of the most important auto-body parts , and it is safety devices for easing the impact outside absorbing and protecting the body. Its major role: ① play the role of protecting the fender, radiator and lamps, when the Collision occurred between vehicle with other vehicles or obstacles; ② play the role decorative effect. Bumper is made of metal material and non-metallic materials. Bumper metal materials is produced by using high-strength steel plate stamping in general. Non-metallic materials bumper commonly completed by molded plastic sheet by molding plastic mold, the mainly material is the modified polypropylene material or glass fiber reinforced plastic, the mechanical properties of these materials is similar to the cold-rolled steel sheet.
This paper introduces stamping mold design method of Car bumper by using the high-strength steel plate stamping, combining the feature of the structure of bending modulus bumper, design steps and process parameters, detailed informates on methods of machining processes of mold parts, the properties of mold material and requirements of heat treatment, and the application of special machining technology in the manufacturing of automobile bumper mold bending parts, as well as installation and debugging and the choice of the conditions of and Press.
