In automata and automata lines, in order to meet the requirements of production process, we need to use intermittent indexing mechanism to achieve the transposition of the cyclical movement and step movement. Because of good movement characteristics, high repetition accuracy, smooth movement and other characteristics, intermittent indexing cam mechanism is widely used in variety of automata and automata lines.
The intermittent indexing cam mechanism based on its structure can be divided into three types: parallel indexing cam mechanism, cylindrical indexing cam mechanism and globular indexing cam mechanism. Both consisting of cam and roller with indexing turntable, through cam indexing turntable for intermittent movement. The agency will convert the continuous rotation cam indexing wheel intermittent motion, realize turn when indexing turntable stop, and intermittent rotation according to prescribed rules.
The intermittent indexing cam curve fit and unfit quality directly affects the intermittent indexing cam mechanism can work well. This article first to the conventional intermittent indexing cam mechanism are analyzed, and then analyzes the intermittent indexing cam contour curve equation, the intermittent indexing cam curve movement parameters and geometric dimensions were calculated. In this paper, according to the intermittent indexing cam mechanism kinematics, using graphic method and analytic method to make the contour curve.
According to the above research, this paper used the AutoCAD software, realizes the intermittent indexing cam contour curve drawing. Finally, according to the characteristics of the intermittent indexing cam, the calculation result of the intermittent indexing cam was presented.
