Boring a hole in a workpiece based on machine tools, machining is typically used in larger size, high precision holes. This paper mainly for horizontal boring machine headstock design, so as to improve production efficiency, reduce costs and other effects. Horizontal boring machine is the most widely used, the performance of the most widely used as a boring machine is suitable for single and small batch production, but boring is dedicated for a specific machine parts and design, it helps to reduce costs and improve productivity.
This design is dedicated boring headstock has a total of five speed gear set achieved using slip speed. Sliding lever to promote the use of shift gears so that the rotational speed of the input shaft speed can be reasonably satisfy the requirements of the output shaft speed. This paper conducted a transmission design headstock, followed by the design parameters were calculated and the gear shaft of the parameters. And complete the assembly drawings to clearly represent the parameters of boring headstock and parts layout.
The simple design of the boring, simple structure, reliable speed, high production efficiency, it is suitable for machining small holes in the pitch error.
