The Stackelberg Power Control Game in Wireless Data networks
Abstract: The basic principle of game theory and the model of noncooperative power control game (NPG) presented for wireless data network are introduced. In order to ameliorate unfairness between terminals in system, the idea of Stackelberg game is introduced to this model; a new distributed power control algorithm based on Stackelberg game (SPG) is presented. Numerical results suggest this algorithm can improve the capability of the system; terminals enjoy higher utility and lower transmit power relatively, the use of wireless resources become more rational and impartial, and the convergence of the algorithm is good.
