Abstract
Nalan Xingde, a scintillating poet who has superb talent with a predestination which full of frustrations. To mourn over his wife’s death , his lament was full of wholehearted sorrow. His words widely moved a generation by a generation for his devoutness. Tortuous experience of life directly affected the author’s character, also made his mournful words have unique flavor, every piece is his blood and tears of poetry. In his lament , all of them hid a kind of faint hate, but what is the hate? Through the causes and analyses of his character based on the society which he lived in, his family background and rough fate, this passage choosed the atmosphere of his lament, the main intention, the real emotion and the style of his poems to research the close relationship between his character and lament, even found the source of his hate in the poems.
