Abstract : In the history of Chinese literature of the new era, Lu Yao ，with his own unique aesthetic perspective, narrative form and the human spirit of Vipassana full of contemporary aesthetic significance， portrayed a lot of vivid characters in his novels. In particular writer committed to opening "cross-urban and rural areas" novels, in which the love lives of the characters described is most successful. The novel Life is the representative. This novel, through describing the young people’s love story in "cross-urban and rural areas," exposes the "cross-area" social, moral, historical and other contradictions and the complexity of historical variation. The love of characters in this novel is full of tragedy means and contemporary melancholy character. This paper analyzes the main reason of the tragedy in this "cross-zone", studies the author’s unique thinking and aesthetic pursuit of the love tragedy and reveals the complexity and profoundity of real life to give people a great education and enlightenment.
