When they going to the global market after China entered WTO, Chinese enterprises are meeting more and more barriers to trade, such as import restriction to trade mark and logo, which are the Identification Barriers (IB) mentioned in this paper.
On the base of a brief literacy review of related research, this paper starts its research from the types of IB that met by Chinese export, analyzes the different trade barriers that Chinese export had encountered, and emphasizes the significant of measurements. Chinese products are facing some extent influences of IB when export, as many countries require certain marks to be adhered to the imported products thus add constraint conditions to their import and China’s export.
On the other hand, this conclude that IB has some negative effect on China’s quantity of export, term of trade and social welfare by a static analysis of the effect of IB to export. As China is becoming a big trade country, it could also gain some social benefits if it applies IB.
Finally, this paper takes mechanical and electrical products as example to do its analysis. From the study of China's export of electromechanical products status quo, the paper studies IB it has met and the reasons that it arose, and provides some suggestions for its export. Hope this paper could be of a help to those exporting or to be exporting enterprises in China.
