Following the rapid economic development the application of green barrier to trade in Europe, America, Japan and other developed countries are more common with stricter requirement. As one of the largest exporter in China, Zhejiang province is also suffered from the green trade barriers in recent years. Relevant government departments have been taking lots of measures to decline the negative effect results from the green barriers, but the loss is continuing to extend.
This paper analyzes the background of green barrier and studies its manifestations and characteristics. Take the European market as an example to analyze the opportunities and challenges for Zhejiang Tea export. Though analyzing market characteristics and its own situation, this paper puts forward some countermeasures to mitigate the negative effect.
