Software outsourcing is an important part in the service outsourcing and it gives the developing countries a good opportunity to undertake this service to develop their software industries. India and China are both developing countries, but exports in the software outsourcing field has created different performance.
This paper makes use of the competitive analysis method and qualitative analysis and so on. It mainly researches the pattern of undertaking software outsourcing between India and China. First of all, it takes an overview of the situation about India and China’s software outsourcing. And this paper will apply the data and charts to explain the condition. Secondly, it applies the SWOT to analyze the model of the two countries. There are four aspects to represent the competence of undertaking the service, including strength, weakness, opportunity and threats. Finally, it analyzes the competition and cooperation on undertaking software outsourcing between India and China in the past、present and future three periods. And to give the suggestion to make the two countries to cooperate among human resources, market, government and dealing with economic crisis the four fields.
