An Examination of the Application of English Songs to College English Teaching
Abstract: This study describes the teachers’ utility of English songs in college English teaching. Several aspects of the application of English songs have the positive effect on learners’ learning. English songs excite students’ interest and motivation of English learning. English songs not only help improve students’ pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading, grammar, enlarge the vocabulary, but also provide more exposure of language culture for the target learners. Introducing English songs into college English teaching is a process of teaching creation.
