成人英语教育之实用性原则

Abstract

In recent years, English application ability is becoming one of the qualities required in international communication, and meanwhile, in order to increase competitiveness, people need the support of a higher degree, so more and more people begin to study English.

Education is useful, because understanding the world is useful. The art of education is to teach people how to use knowledge. The practical principle, which is geared to the needs of market, society and the employment demand of students, the English education combine the normative education with professional flexibility, to put the teaching & learning for the practical usage as the goal, the practical content learning as the orientation, training students the ability of practical application.

This paper consists of three parts. The first part describe the present situation and a few thorny issues in English practical teaching, the second part focus on the overview of the practical principles, the last part introduce some practical methods applied in Wall Street English teaching for everybody to learn and reference.
