The Synthesis of Concrete Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer
Abstract: The function of the cement superplasticizer is to reduce the amount of water used in mixing concrete, to enhance the fluidity of concrete slurry and strength, so as to improve the quality of the projects. The long time of the first generation of cement superplasticizer taken in producing, low solid content require an advanced type of superplasticizer. This paper briefly studied the advanced polycarboxylate superplasticizer - the allyl group superplasticizer whose future development, sorts, the principle of its function on reducing water and its production flow are concerned with. It emphasized the influencing factors of the allyl group uperplasticizers, such as the mode of feeding, the quality of the materials, the SMAS, the solid content, the numbers of EO, the molar ratio of AA to APEG, and the neutralization degree of acrylic acid. From the fluidity and solidification of the net cement slurry and the concrete to show the differences between the products of the two-step synthesis and the laboratory research’s polycarboxylate superplasticizers, the function of the naphthalene superplasticizer and some other superplasticizer products were compared.
