Abstract: Sorbic acid, known as Su Sorbus, is an safe and effective new food preservative which have the lowest tocicity. In this paper , we compare and analyze several synthetic methods and finally, we determine to use the method of organic electrochemical synthesis to obtain sorbic acid. This method carries on under normal pressure. Due to low material consumption, low energy consumption, raw materials readily available, low toxicity, high purity and high yield, In addition, less waste generated by this process ,it is conducive to large-scale continuous production. According to the correlation data, this article designed one way to produce 600 ton sorbic acid a year. It include material republican, calories republican, reactor design , plant layout and other parts. According to the technical characteristics, determining for each batch of 24-hour period , a batch each day. The quality of raw materials is determined by material balance, and the necessary heat transfer and area is determined by heat balance. Then according to the results of kettle body to account for the design, determine the reaction vessel with 2 cubic meters, on this basis, we design and select various parts of the reactor body, at last, we give the technique of production response flow diagram, the workshop general arrangement and the reaction body assembly drawing.
