Present situation investigation of folk religions in Yan Shi
mountain area of Bobai
Abstract
Through the investigation of Yan Shi mountain area one by one, it can be found that there has gradually formed various religionary contents in the Yan Shi mountain area since the Tang Dynasty such as offer sacrifices to ancestors, celebrities and human beings who sacrificed for the motherland or serviced filial piety in the families, even the gods in the folklore that blessed the lives and so on. And from the local rich folk religions and its manifestations in the summing up of the local folk religions with widely many characters: diverities of religions, varieties of main body of the the religions, utilities of the motivation, confusion of religionary attributes, incompact organizations, double-edged social functions. The investigation of is helpful for the further research about folk religions not only in Bobai but also in south-east of GuangXi.
