Abstract
Robot can complete the action that mankind can not be completed, also it can be reasonably intelligent designed, according to the wishes of peoples. Through rationalization of design, the robot has been used in various fields. Therefore, the developed countries put high importance to the robot. This paper describes the robot's development and the status quo, and introduces the significance of designing a robot. After introducing to the design of the robot chassis and manipulator, the paper also describes the structural design of the robot, the working principle of the various components, confirms parameters of the various parts of manipulator and selects the corresponding driving motors. Reference to the development of industrial robot both here and abroad, the practicality structure of the manipulator is put forward and introduces the control and analysis of the manipulator. The design is major in improving some deficiencies of hostage-rescuing robot, especially in the manipulator, that should be designed practical.
