Abstract
Reverse engineering is a new subject and technology coming up with the development of computer science and data digitization. It’s help to change the design
mode from draft to models in conventional CAD systems. It’s a new approach for rapid prototype manufacture. Curve and surface reconstruction are two basilica questions in reverse engineering. With the data acquired from one existent object, the geometrical models can be reconstructed which is a useful tools to study the existent object such as analysis, computing and rendering.
Based on the characteristic of Phone diaphragm.This paper takes the reverse design of front panel from alight truck as example and puts forward an integrated reverse design idea. The data points are obtained by the photo scanner Camega,the points cloud are pretreated by RE-SOFT software platform,surface reconstruction is achieved by reverse design software UGNX. The reverse design method of Phone diaphragm is discussed detailedly by curve and curved surface based on a large amount of points,the feasibility is also discussed in this paper.
