Abstract:This paper establishes a hybrid drive sytem model of all components for a city bus and performance simulation,all of these are based on MATLAB/Simulink .Firstly, according to the existing automotive products,advantages and disadvantages of serial and parallel hybrid vehicle powertrain are analyzed , dual-axis parallel program is proposed at the same time.This paper has a deep study on the selection of hybrid vehicle powertrain components , performance parameters of various parts and selection programs of engine, motor and super-capacitor are all given.finally,Matlab / Simulink is applied to establish a parallel hybrid bus control strategy and drive system components model ,the model is fully simulated。The results provide a powerfull tool for powertrain parameter matching, vehicle control strategy development and vehicle performance analysis
