ABSTRACT
With the development of economy, science and technology, the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in China are confronted with more and more severe competition and challenges. Once the enterprises want to survive and develop themselves, they must raise their competitiveness again and again. Product innovation is the objective needs of the enterprises’ development, and it is also the soul of the business. Moreover, product innovation is particularly important for SMEs, for only with continuous product innovation, the SMEs will produce a new economic growth points and increase the source of vitality.
In this article, product innovation and promoting the competitive ability of SMEs are regarded as a closely related to the factors discussed. By analyzing the current competitive situation and the lack of small and medium-sized enterprises, the article puts forward a number of ways to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs, and then focuses on product innovation from the perspective of how to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs. At last, the article shows up the fact that product innovation can enhance the competitiveness of SMEs with a case.
