Abstract
This paper starts from the surroundings of introducing of lean production in the manufacturing industry of our country, and then ,it gives a systematic introduction of theories that are relative to lean production, moreover it describes the implementing process of lean production in Foxconn Corporation. It discusses the guiding rules, implementing method, implementing conditions and process of implementing in Foxconn Corporation’s applying lean production. At last, this paper comments on the applying of lean production in Foxconn Corporation, and points out the problems in the applying process with the resolution to these problems.
The whole paper consists of six chapters. Chapter 1 is introduction that explains the reasons of studying lean production. Lean production began in the automobile industry and then expand to the whole manufacturing industry, that is to say that the introduction of lean production into Foxconn Corporation is a historic trend. And Chapter 2 explains the theory of lean production model, which includes the basic concept of lean production, contains, features, the systematic construction of lean production. Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 are the most important parts of this paper. Chapter 3 discusses the implementing process of lean production in Foxconn Corporation, which consists of the guiding rules, implementing method, implementing conditions. Chapter 5 explains the implementing of lean production in Foxconn, with the analisis of one sub-factory’s application situations and the whole effects of implementing lean production in Foxconn. And Chapter 5 gives a description of the effectiveness and weakness in implementing lean production in Foxconn Corporation with the resolution and suggestions to these weaknesses.
At the end of this paper ,the last section is the parts of results and future developments. It summarizes the whole paper and makes a conclusion that lean production is a production model that fits to Foxconn Corporation which reduces the cost a lot and strengthens the competitiveness a lot during the implementing process, and also it explains the future development of implementing lean production in Foxconn Corporation.
