Abstract
The Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions of Chinese entrepreneur appeared in 1980s. However, it flourishes in recent years. Especially after 2000, a new round of Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions develops, particularly in the field of petroleum, home appliances, IT, and minery. There are, and will be, more and more entrepreneurs entering foreign market by Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions.
Based on the current situation of the Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions of Chinese entrepreneurs, this article took Lenovo’s purchase of IBM as an example to analyze the motives of Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions of Chinese entrepreneurs. The point view of this article shows the motives of Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions is to break foreign trade barrier, to learn the technology, to achieve brand, to enter foreign market, and to learn management in the globalization environment. This thesis also poses up some corresponding measurements on how to improve the international competent, how to realize the ability of Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions, and the consolidation after the Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions of Chinese entrepreneur.
