Abstract: Listening and speaking are the basic methods for people obtaining language information. They belong to the communication of language. According to the statistics, 45% language applied in the social practice are made complicated by listening. Therefore, listening, as a communicative behavior, plays an important part not only in everyday life but also in foreign language teaching. The theory of modern language teaching attaches more importance to the function of listening in language learning and language application. The neglect of listening teaching and the lack of science are changing. So we need to put forward more attempts. The goal of this essay is to analyze the causes of misunderstanding, and then put forward the corresponding strategies to help students to conquer their fear during the test of listening, so as to achieve high marks.
