分析景点翻译的特点-以西湖风景区为例-开题报告

The research background
With the deepening of globalization, the tourism industry has become one of the fastest growing industries in the world economy. Especially with the development and expansion of China and the international influence of the belt and road, more and more international friends begin to have a strong interest in this country with many beautiful scenery and a long history.

Due to the great differences in language and culture between countries, the translation of tourist attractions was born in order to facilitate tourists to understand the background and significance of corresponding places.

Chinese-english translation of tourist attractions is one of the most common translation scenarios. In terms of its communication and communication, tourism translation belongs to cross-language and cross-cultural communication, with special emphasis on the idiomatic language. Chinese tourists Chinese scenic spots introduction purpose is to provide the basic and important information about the scenic spots, the words in Chinese text is luxuriant, like comparing idioms or rhyme four words to increase the aesthetic feeling of words, arouse the potential tourist's interest, the English text is pay more attention to the transmission of information, tourism translation as a tourist attraction is introduced, and the spread of its culture doing play an irreplaceable role, but there are some problems in the current tourism translation from Chinese into English, the most obvious is the flood and attractions, scenic spot name translation is introduced due to lower ignore differences in language and culture in the translation quality.

Research significance
This paper will select several representative scenic spots in the west lake in hangzhou to translate their names, and discuss the characteristics of the translation from Chinese to English from the cultural meaning behind the scenic spots.
Literature review
1. Characteristics of tourism translation
Tourism translation belongs to professional translation, which is the translation practice for tourism activities, tourism majors and industries. In a nutshell, tourism translation is a communicative activity that integrates cross-language, cross-society, cross-space, cross-culture and cross-psychology. Compared with other types of translation, it is more direct, prominent, typical and comprehensive in cross-cultural and cross-psychological communication activities.

2. The purpose of tourism translation

Accuracy is the first step in translation, for many translations, especially the translation of scenic spots, the accuracy is far from enough. More importantly, it is to convey information to tourists and improve the beauty. At present, there are some problems in the translation of tourism from Chinese to English, the most obvious of which is that the transliteration is rampant in the translation of scenic spots and the translation quality is reduced due to the neglect of language and cultural differences in the introduction of scenic spots

3. The importance of tourism translation
English is the global language of the information age and one of the most important international communication tools in the world. The number of people in the world who speak English (as a native, official or second language) has been increasing, and the development of tourism has further strengthened the importance of English as a global language. The continuous development of tourism needs hosts who know English well, and also good English tour guides. Therefore, tourism English is favored by more and more people. Tourism English enables the perfect combination of language knowledge and tourism professional knowledge. It is rich in content and covers a wide range of areas. It carries the mission of promoting Chinese national culture and has strong practical and social benefits.

In my opinion, there are still many problems in the study of chinese-english translation of tourist attractions, especially in the cross-communication and cross-cultural issues. However, due to personal differences in the understanding of the meaning behind the scenic spots, translators have made repeated attempts in order to present a more intuitive and accurate translation to tourists.

Research plan
Main research contents: The first part is the characteristics of tourism translation. As a common type of translation, tourism translation is different from other translations. The second part, the purpose of tourism translation, tourism is a cultural activity. The function of tourism materials is to stimulate people's interest in tourism through the introduction of scenic spots. Therefore, the ultimate purpose of tourism materials translation is to attract foreign tourists and promote culture. According to Skopostheorie, translation is a kind of purposeful behavior. In the process of translation, the translator should combine the purpose of translation with the special circumstances of the target reader and make selective translation from the multi-source information provided by the original work. However, there are many errors in the translation of the existing tourist information, which affect the realization of its purpose. The third part, the importance of tourism translation, tourism translation is an important way to achieve cultural transmission, as well as the west lake tourism translation brought about by the effective role.
