Introduction
Although negotiation was an active research topic within social psychology in the 1960s and 1970s, in the 1980s, the behavioral decision perspective dominated. The 1990s has witnessed a rebirth of social factors in the psychological study of negotiation, including social relationships, ego centrism, motivated illusions, and emotion.
However, in our culture or Chinese culture, especially in modern China we do not know what is the meaning of negotiation and how they use the negotiation skills ruling the world.
On this paper I want to show a little part of the negotiation filed to show our people how can we get more stronger in the world typically in international trade business.
1. Literature Review
1.1Domestic research status
From 1980 to 2009, the number of business English papers published and the total amount of China's import and export trade show that: in terms of the number of papers published, the growth trend of the past 27 years (1980-2006) was continued in the past period (2007-2009), and the growth rate was further expanded.Over the past 40 years, the growth trend of the number of business English papers published has been roughly the same as that of China's total import and export trade.
Despite the huge increase in related publications, but work in the trade, "negotiation" is an indispensable world, and the majority of negotiations in English, set up in each other's habits, cultural background, which requires we have very strong English skills have other background cultural knowledge. On the basis of mastering relevant knowledge, we can express our ideas in English and achieve business objectives through persuasion, exchange and so on.
1.2 Foreign research status
The past 25 years have seen dramatic shifts in the psychological study of negotiation. The study of negotiation was an active field within the domain of social psychology in the 1960s and 1970s, but the cognitive revolution in the late 1970s left little room for interpersonal processes, leaving the study of negotiation to decline. By the early 1980s, negotiations blossomed anew as perhaps the fastest growing area of teaching and research in schools of management.
In English-Speaking countries, where language proficiency is not in doubt, they focus more on how to "negotiate" or achieve their goals, which has led to a flurry of research and book creation. This paper will quote some literature contents and compare with domestic business English to better optimize our business expression.
